Fonzie's Corner is an “American style” restaurant and casino. The space itself is quite attractive because of its “U” shape and ideal corner situation. The renovation made good use of the existing glass facades and high ceilings. The design attempts to find that critical blend between functionalism and postmodern qualities. The easiest way to summarise the project is: “Think Pink”.

The central space is structured by five giant pink concrete columns, which are perceptually distorted by the design of the floor, which is mostly grey marble, framed by black plastic. These columns support a concrete pink ceiling, from which hangs an enormous tubular composition in various pink colours, highlighted by red neon lighting. The bar itself is of plastic and stainless steel and with the accompanying strong pink, neon advertising signs and mirrors, you get the feeling of Las Vegas and the Hollywood productions in the 1950’s.
