The Champagne Bar occupies a small part of the Club Privé, in central Malmö. The space is narrow; it is 3x6 metres inside a large hall in two levels. The bar is like a big balcony above the hall and the dance floor.

The main idea was to create a new design which would be reinforced by contrasting with the old existing one. The materials used are stainless steel, bronze, mirrors and a floor covered by zebra skin. The lighting mainly consists of red and blue neon and wall lamps. The chairs, bar chairs, small glass tables blend well with two large sofas: “the spider sofa” in zebra, stainless steel and the “the window sofa” in zebra on stainless steel tubes. Entrances and windows consist of stainless steel arches with a golden bronze keystone.

The present decoration uses a great many triangular forms and skewed lines on walls as well as on a ceiling covered with mirrors. A leaning bar in stainless steel, with a back temple in bronze, mirrors and neon, are the main focal points in the room.

The temple at the back is a culmination of sequences of reflections and infinite mirrored images.

Eclectic sophistication - the style is intellectual and artificial going beyond the rules to the irrational. The design stems from a collective experience: the theatrical celebration.
